A President In Need of Direction
The Provocateur ^ | 09/01/2009 | Mike Volpe

I think it's time for the country to face reality. Our President is lost. There's not one major issue that we can reasonably say he has a good handle on. Instead, on every major issue, it appears as though there's a grand piano hanging over him being held up by a small string. What the president needs is to find some direction, and quickly.

We need a Photo-shop of Joe Btflsyx, er however that is spelled from Lil Abner cartoon. He was the guy with the perpetual raincloud hanging over him with rain pouring from the cloud down onto his face.

Perhaps that could become a symbol of Obama’s Presidency, such as it is.

Seems to me the last really respected Presidency was Reagan. The Democrats succeeded in making mockery of so much after that that the Presidency became more a Pop Culture event especially starting with Clinton.

Along with restoring quality leadership to our Nation, we must also restore respect for that leadership thanks to the Leftist assault upon the respect that goes with the position.

His followers are at the grocery store using food coupons before their bus comes to take them to the next town hall meeting in a distant city.

His close inner circle is meeting to schedule the next several aberrant bills and/or issues upon which they will demand compliance by citizens. The meetings won't last long - no one is required to read the bills. Those living on welfare or here illegally - not to worry - they've got your back!

Mike Volpe, I don't think you understand. If the Democrats, ala Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama think that every thing they suggest is opposed and is unacceptable, it is because everything they propose is unacceptable. It's like they see the world through the eyes of a whining ten year old, like the stoats and ferrets at Toad Hall.

Even giving the Democrats or the Left the absolute benefit of the doubt, that is that they simply are mentally incapable (as opposed to malice) of seeing what the grown-up world realizes ,they are still going to be juvenile in every endeavor.

A grown-up understands his own limitations, and understands that the decisions he makes he must live with, in order incidentally to keep others free. One may call this maturity, or citizenship, or whatever, but the United States was founded, and prospered, on this courageous human character. And incidentally was unique among nations, hence the great experiment, or freedom. That is why Barack Obama (and the CFR) must appeal to other nations; those nations don't have a clue.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, the CFR, Jay Rockefeller, George Soros, the LEFT, really are a joke on the United States and what it means, albeit a very serious joke. Healthcare, to take the current obvious example, could, and should, be handled totally within the parameters of free enterprise, and, most important, the understanding that adults with an high school education throughout the United States are completely capable of making their own decisions on such. That is especially true in these modern circumstances of total communication, internets, celphones, etc.

When one looks at this last observation honestly it suddenly becomes obvious what the LEFT calls "progressive" is intractably regressive. That is, we all would hope that the human character can progress to realizing one's own responsibilities. That is what the United States of America meant.
