You’re right. No matter what he knew or when he knew it (or chose to no longer know it), Obama comes out smelling like either: 1)a craven fool or 2) an impotent pipsqueak on the world stage or 3) both. None of those ugly possibilities bodes well for his reputation for gravitas in this country or abroad.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that Obama was informed. We now know that it was widely discussed in England and Scotland for the past couple of years. No way that they wouldn’t give O a heads up.
And I’m sure that he either remained silent, or gave them the go-ahead through back channels.
According to the radio this a.m., PM Gordon Brown of Britain strong-armed the SAcots into releasing the Lockerbie bomber so that Britain would be in a position to negotiate new oil agreement with Libya.
At the time the guy was released, zero came out with some kind of mealy-mouthed excuse that just didn’t wash.
Yeah, zero knew and the rest of the world blew . . . UP!!!!

Hmmm, if Hillary decides to oppose Obama in 2012, she could use this as one of the reasons she resigned as Secretary of State, and decided to oppose Obama.
