On Wednesday, the Chicago Civic Federation came out with a report of the analysis of the bid of Chicago 2016. Here is the conclusion of the findings of the Civic Federation.
The Civic Federation found that the operating budget, including venue construction, proposed by the Chicago 2016 is fair and reasonable and provides adequate protections against financial risks to Chicago's tax payers.

What the hey? With their man and his Chicago crew in the White House the “Civic Federation” is probably already betting they can get the federal taxpayer to bail them out. Boston only had Uncle Teddy and John Kerry in their corner to bail out the Big Dig.
This just means that some bean-counter on Daley’s payroll took a “high level look” at it (probably while sitting on the john) and repeated the words he was told to repeat.
If anyone thinks someone will pay as much as Citibank paid for naming rights for the Mets for a glorified pond, they’re nuts.
But who’s surprised to learn that it’s Chicago politics, and the fix is in?
