there is probably a memo or two out there from both dems and repugs to contrive files of alleged and purported “no-shows” by Sarah, to be released when she does whatever it is she is going to do....

Organizations all over the country have been pulling this stunt. Then when Sarah doesn’t come to an event she never agreed to attend, it becomes one more club that the left-wingers use to beat her with.

I don’t know, it sounds to me like someone from the group was told that she’s not accepting invitations yet and so they held off on officially inviting her. They made clear that she hasn’t been invited yet, and it’s even implied that they’re holding the May slot for the opportunity to maybe have her. Such clubs generally announce as much as they have for each year’s calendar (from fall through spring) at the start of their season.

The DEC is a legitimate and powerful group, and they’re used to inviting world and economic leaders on a regular basis. It is another good opportunity for her to speak before an influential group.

There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, “Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!”

The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.

“Don’t cry ‘wolf’, shepherd boy,” said the villagers, “when there’s no wolf!” They went grumbling back down the hill.

Later, the boy sang out again, “Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!” To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.

When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, “Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don’t cry ‘wolf’ when there is NO wolf!”

But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.

Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, “Wolf! Wolf!”

But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn’t come.

At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn’t returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.

“There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, “Wolf!” Why didn’t you come?”

An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.

“We’ll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning,” he said, putting his arm around the youth, “Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!”

Does the shoe fit?

I think you’re right-—someone already posted a similar idea on her FB page stating that “Bailin’ Palin” might be the next Ainsky smear contrived against her.

Are you claiming that Sarah is crying wolf?

They want publicity on it so they mention Sarah’s name. This event is for next May. I’ve seen Sarah’s name on other events too even though she hasn’t even been asked to attend. It’s ridiculous. The left are coming up with numerous Alinsky methods to bring Sarah down, but none of them work because people can see through their lies

From Rasmussen Report: If you’d like Scott Rasmussen to speak at your meeting, retreat, or conference, contact Premiere Speakers Bureau.

If Palin wants to avoid these reported no shows at events, then perhaps Palin ought follow Scott Rasmussen’s example and work with the Premiere Speakers Bureau for events. Palin’s personal staff and the folks at SarahPAC are not up to par in public relations. They are 3rd rate at best.

I suspect the no-show blunders at the Reagan Library and AK Family Council were due to staff workers saying Palin would love to show up at the events without consulting Sarah Palin herself. Sarah Palin needs to hire competent staff.

Sarah and her staff are responsible for the fabrications of others.

Sorry, that should read:

Sarah and her staff are NOT responsible for the fabrications of others.

Nothing personal, but if you and I can see this out, why can't anybody on the Palin staff figure it out?
I mean, it's not rocket science.
This is part of "Public Relations 101" -- PARTICULARY now, after so many previously bungled "appearances."

SOMEBODY on the Palin staff need to have the FULLTIME responsibility of searching the Internet for these kind of "invitations" -- and coming down VERY HARD, and VERY PUBLICLY on groups like this.

They need to make it VERY CLEAR that this kind of behavior will NOT be tolerated.

Sarah Palin needs to hire competent staff.
Maybe what she needs to do is set up an e-mail called flag@sarahpalin.com...
...where people can send her reports about "fishy" invitations like this one. :o)

My mistake—didn’t even notice that it was the Economic Club of SW Michigan. That’s not a major player.

So what? and if she is invited, she produces a piece of paper indicating she declined on “x” date. Every organization has someone who does this, called a secretary. You should have a confirmation or a decline for every single event.

She just resigned from office. Sheesh, can she get some Quality Time with her family and relax before committing to crap? I bet she'll kick in gear towards the end of the year.
