Yes, its another episode of Name That Party, where our contestant is a criminal Democrat in the news that somehow, mysteriously finds the Old Media conveniently forgetting to mention that he is, indeed, a Democrat. This time its former Starr County, Texas Sheriff Reymundo Guerra who was handed a five-year sentence for drug trafficking this week. Guerra is the second Starr County Sheriff in a row to go to jail for corruption.
The Old Media dutifully reported this conviction, to be sure. It was reported that Guerra was up on harsher charges, how he had those reduced, it was also reported what criminal drug cartel figures from Mexico he was involved with and that Guerra was sorry for what hed done.
Only one tiny, little part of the story was left out. Guerra was a Democrat official in a Texas county that has been controlled by Democrats for about 100 years. I guess the fact that a Democrat Law Official turned into a drug dealer isnt news? Of course, if it should have been a Republican Sheriff turned drug dealer, why the Old Media would have led with that news.
When it's a dem - it's either buried or not mentioned at all.
And if mentioned - an "equivalence" is run - a mention that a Republican did something similar - even if 20 years earlier - will be mentioned.
It's bias at it's most blatant - and ugly.
Anytime a politician gets in trouble, you have to automatically assume it is a democrat, unless the article tells you otherwise. You do not even need to guess. Maybe the press knows this to be true, and that is why they do not spell it out.
RICO, Conspiracy, Obstruction of Justice, Drug Traffiking, Bribery, Abuse of Power and Oath of Office......
Wasnt this the Spanish only guy?
I’ve said it before:
Dog bites man = Not News
Man bites dog = News
There really IS an innocent explanation for this.
Sheriff of Starr County. That is one of the two counties (the other being Duval) where LBJ stole the TX presidential vote for JFK in the 1960 election (the mob performed the same role in IL). It’s always been Democrat and always been crooked. The two terms, crooked and Democrat, being almost synomomous.
Imagine that. Drugs and Spanish only from a RAT county down on the border by the bottom point of Texas.
