Huckabee Says Kennedy Would Not Have Lived As Long as He Did Under Government Health Care - Audio

Here is audio of Gov. Mike Huckabee essentially making the powerful point that Sen. Ted Kennedy would not have lived as long as he did with brain cancer if he had not been able to seek the very best private health care available. Huckabee advocates that the best way to honor Kennedy's work for bringing health care to all is to make sure every American has access to the same "private health care" that Kennedy had.

Huckabee also referenced the fact that Kennedy did not "go home to take pain pills" when he was diagnosed. Instead, he had a very complicated surgery under the care of some of the best doctors in the world - something Huckabee said "any of us would have done" if possible.

The Left won't like it, but Huckabee makes a very significant point here. Under ObamaCare, it would be virtually impossible for people diagnosed with the kind of brain cancer Kennedy had to get the quality of care or the speed of care he was able to get. What Americans need is access to the best quality private care that is delivered as quickly as possible - neither of which will happen if Government-run Health Care becomes a reality. . . . . The whole health care program is the liberal left democrat marxist plan to undermine the Constitution and the bill of rights more than any single aspect, the dems and pub politicians know it right well and all liberal politicians lust for power in their sick elitist minds and will destroy America's heritage of liberty given by God to all men and our economy.

Huckabee is right so far as Obamacare is involved, but never forget, Kennedy had the cash, that most of us dont have. he had it because of his Daddy and his bootlegging. Kennedy never did anything to earn a dime, He just sucked on the government tit.

Huckabee is probably right about government run health care. One only needs to look at the Oregon rationing plan and see that glioblastomas (malignant brain tumors) are near the end of the 400+ disease priority list with smoking cessation near the top.

The current system provides a safety net for those in need wihout financial means. I have a patient who just completed a 6 week course of radiation and chemotherapy for the same tumor Kennedy had. He is a 35 year old illegal alien who is working , but has no insurance or financial means. He received as good a care as Kennedy received, and hopefully will beat the odds, although it is unlikely. Our group gives away over $12.5 million in charity care like this each year, and yet we all manage to make comfortable incomes.

I think the "health care" is the biggest threat right now, so most effort has been spent on trying to educate the clueless public. If as much effort were expended on "cap and trade," it would quickly lose popularity, too.
