Simple ... al the $$ that gets forwarded to DC via withholding would get redirected to Austin.

If you could borrow the money interest free, would you?

That is what he did and there is a limit to how long they can borrow it, but it is interest free from a time.

When TX is no longer handcuffed with drilling, they won’t need to borrow.

If they do, I’m sure the Republic of Alaska will help them out.

We didn’t need to borrow that money. We have over $9 billon in a rainy day fund.
