1) You can get some sweet deals on rentals etc. by being a member of AAA, NRA, and a host of other organizations.

2) Even if those lying socialist gun-grabbing bastards at AARP manage to swing a better deal ... it ain't worth selling my soul by associating with them.

We are going to discontinue paying our dues but, still use them for discounts. The hotels never ask to see the card anyhow.
