I would think there would be legal remedies available to force them to sell equal time for an opposing view

Wouldn't that be the same as calling for a fairness doctrine?

I'd think they'd have a right to sell or refuse to sell commercials to whomever they choose. But we'd also have the right to turn them off and affect their ratings because of those choices.

Y'all should contribute an hour a day trawling through the businesses that use these stations, and mail their Advertising Directors and tell them why you will not consider their companies because of advertising on a channel that actively discriminates, don't give them much info, then they'll contact the channel to find out what's going on, rather than dismissing your mail as Politically motivated spam.

What you need to do is get the businesses to recognise that their company has a deepening association with a discriminative entity because of them paying for advertising on the channel.
No business wants their customer base halved because of an inconsequential act by a third party, especially when there are dark motives.

Americans did a great job on David Letterman when he attacked Sarah Palin's Daughter, I helped a Facebook campaign with it, the tact works.
