You heard about AG Eric Holder appointing a special prosecutor to investigate CIA Interrogators, but did you miss this quiet little story yesterday? Team Obama released another terrorist from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. They simply let him go. Even offered him a ride back to Afghanistan!
They sent him back to his family near the place where he attacked U.S. Soldiers! Here are some details from Fox News:
"the administration released Mohammed Jawad to his home in Afghanistan. Jawad had been accused of throwing a grenade in 2002 that injured two U.S. soldiers and their interpreter in Kabul. He has returned to his family, according to his lawyer. Kirk Lippold, former USS Cole commander and fellow at Military Families United, criticized the decision in a statement Monday, calling it part of a "sadly familiar pattern." "No coherent policy in the war on terror. No comprehensive plan in place to deal with the future of Guantanamo Bay detainees. No accountability for terrorists who harm our brave fighting forces," he said."
Better be careful Commander Lippold, sir. Those are "harsh" words and Eric "Let 'em Go" Holder may want to prosecute you for that.
So now we prosecute the good guys at the CIA and let the bad guy terrorists walk free?
Sounds like a plain vanilla guerrilla who they probably wish they had shot at the site, whose questioning didn’t yield anything interesting. So Bummer simply washes his hands of the guy.
Our government is sick.
I also have to wonder if the health care crisis hasn't become a crisis on its own account and the administration isn't using this new crisis to grab control of a critical part of handling terrorists.
Just one more example of what a lot of us feared would be the results of an Obama presidency. Only worse!
On the one hand we have the lunatic in the oval office complaining (faux outrage) about the release of the Lockerbie bomber, and on the other hand he is preparing to release the terrorists on Gitmo.
