I think Lear's creations probably did as much damage as Hewitt's propaganda. The Left figured out that popular culture-as-Marxist propaganda was very effective many years ago. They had the field pretty much to themselves until Rush came along but they still "own" TV and the music biz. They've brainwashed a couple of generations with destructive stuff from MTV, VH-1, etc.
Nearly every program I try to watch these days, including the History channel, National Geographic, etc., is filled with pure leftist propaganda. Try to find a "science" program that doesn't introduce anthropogenic "global warming" scare tactics along the way.

Much damage was done, it is true, but my kids today recognize Lear’s heavy-handed dreck for the anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-family propaganda that it always has been.
