Reid knows that if he throws enough money into it he can buy the race.
Nevada residents can expect to see Reid campaign ads all day every day in the last few months leading to the election. Also, whoever gets the Republican nomination can expect millions of dollars to be spent on opposition research looking for any possible dirt and making some up if there isn’t any to find.
It is going to be a long and ugly campaign.
