PA Dem Rep. Chris Carney Gets Earful from Citizens at Health Care Town Hall - Video 8/17/09

Here is video of citizens speaking their minds to Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. Chris Carney, who represents the 10th Congressional District.

The video shows quite a number of citizens speaking. At one point, Carney tells a woman that something she was concerned about "is not in the bill." Then later, he tells the crowd "the bill has not been written yet." This all happens within the first 3 minutes of the video. If you keep watching, you will hear him say repeatedly that various concerns of people are "not in the bill." He also tells people to "read the bill" he said has not yet been written!

The mood of the crowd was not receptive to what he was saying! You could sense a real frustration and anger in people.

I think the Democrats are underestimating how strongly people feel against this bill. It's real and it is growing, even in states like Pennsylvania that have tended to be "blue" in recent elections. . . . (Watch Video)

One other thing that is in Pennsylvania is a lot of elderly folks. If you look at the crowd, there are a lot of senior citizens there that are worried (rightfully so) that medicare is going to be used to pay for this.

MY Rep, Glenn “Chickensh**” Nye, D-Va, held a public forum but never accounced it, apparently had a small venue, and invited supporters and union members. i called to see if he would be holding one and was told no.

The rats are going to force a revolution in AmeriKa. They want to force it then bring it on!

We need to reclaim our country and or Government. This is the USA not Obama and Nancy’s USSA

We need to mobilize the the phones, the streets, the blogs. Let’s give the a bigger taste of their grassroots organizing the they gave us in 2008.

The people are talking quietly and are waiting for a leader to step forward to lead our movement.

Let’s crush the RATS with their own game..

During the campaign, Carney raised money with a wide-variety of supporters including Sen. Barack Obama, Sen Joe Biden, Rep. Jay Inslee, Rep. Jack Murtha, and Richard Perle. He originally ran and won against scandle ridden Don Sherwood, for his last election the Republicans ran a very weak canidate Chris Hackett. In my opnion, he will have a good fight on his hands next time he's up.

As a side note, his meetings are held in the morning so people who work can't attend. This is why I think there is mostly seniors in the video. He has one on August 24th at 5:00 and I am going to make every attempt to attend.

There is a bill and people HAVE read it,and they are PISSED!

I have downloaded HR 3200 and read it. I am not a lawyer so I don't pretend to understand it all however, what I do understand scares the hell out of me. I am 71 years young and in excellent health but, If I should become ill I don't want some jerk off in DC deciding if I am worth saving.
