Sarah’s FB page is constantly attacked and vandalized by trolls. It’s hard to make any kind of headway on those specific polls because of them.

But I thought Sarah Palin was an irrelevant quitter.

Why would the lib’s waste so much time to skew a poll if she’s irrelevant?

Might want to be carefull as this poll requires you to agree they mine your personal facebook info and friends list. Not a good idea unless you have your facebook open to the world.

I spent about two weeks on Facebook, connected with literally dozens of relatives, followed Sarah Palin, connected with people in my breed of dog all over the USA, could keep posted on Jeff Head's petition to "restore the Constitution". and then started being harrassed by liberals, and wierdos in e-mail and on the boards of Facebook. I dropped it.

Now they want you to sign in to use the polls.

To deal with the trolls on Sarah’s page, I set up a fictitious account that has one job and one job only, fight the trolls wherever and whenever they pop up. Most of them are professional operatives, and there are tricks, such as “Report bombing” them which can block them when done in a coordinated fashion with some of your allies.

After last week's thread
about "prankster" rigging Time *
who believes net polls?

----------------------------------------------------

* Anonymous is a bunch of random people on the web working together, with a whole bunch of extremely successful attacks that they can claim credit for. Thousands of users gather together under the banner, and they have a code, one of the central tenets of which is "Anon is Legion." Anonymous is the most active trolling community there is. There are a few Anonymous who make the tools, plan out the raids, and lay down the procedure. Everyone else simply follows them, and Anon's strength is in the numbers. The trolls gather together in a handful of online forums and image boards. These are ebaumsworld, something awful, and the chans (4chan, 7chan, 888chan among others). The tools are hosted at websites such as insurgen.cc, where raids are mentioned along with the tools. What have these people done? They fixed the TIME magazine poll, for the personality of the year. Not only did they fix who won, but they also fixed the first 10 winners, spelling out the words MARBLECAKE, ALSO THE GAME. The list is official, for everyone to see, and TIME could not do anything about it.

At first, Anonymous just wanted to put moot (the owner of 4chan) at the top of the list. This was easily achieved, without even scripts or any kind of coding involved. This was achieved by giving Moot high ratings, while rating everyone else as low as possible. TIME caught up, and shaved off the top 5% and bottom 5% of the votes from their counting system. This was a small challenge to the might of Anon, and they responded. Scripts were written that gave random values to everyone on the list, but with a certain target window in mind. Each person on the list was given a particular position on the list. Deployed from different IP addresses from around the world, there was nothing that TIME could do, but publish their obviously fixed poll.

Don’t worry. Facebook polls are meaningless. When the election votes are counted and the dust settles She’ll be standing tall.

Thanx for the post...I just voted “undecided” & left a comment as to why. As you might expect, some of the “no” votes were downright vulgar.

As of now, I would not support Palin for President. Only because of the way she left her post as Governor. I like her views, but question her commitment. I would never say that in a liberal poll... why give them the ammo to trash a good person.

I like Romney.

Currently Palin’s FB account has 793,000 members. I wonder how many are actual supporters and liberal trolls.

The vast bulk are undoubtedly supporters since there was an enormous influx beginning on July 3. The trolls are a small minority, and I suspect that most are re-treads who have been repeatedly blocked but then sign up under new fraudulent accounts.

I detest Obama for many reasons. The only reason I supported McCain was because of Palin, yet I don’t understand why she felt that resigning her post as Governor would help her become President.

I doubt she resigned to get closer to the whitehouse. She was probably getting sick of being beat up by the left and felt that she could have a more fulfilling career as a political consultant.

Romney might get creamed by Palin, but that won’t change my feelings. I liked Hunter in the last election. I don’t have a record of supporting the shoe in candidates.

... And maybe you are a troll... just sayin’

LOL... life is too short and I'm much too old to waste my time being a troll...

I also supported McCain just because of Palin, I was following her months before she became a household name...she is class, character, dignity, I feel she knew she could do more good out of Alaska then just being their Governor.

I also supported Hunter with donations and his son, but when I saw him fold so easily I felt great disappointment and then went to Thompson and when he folded I gave up, then PALIN really excited this family and we became her supporters and will remain in her fold until I see if she too folds...
just sayin” have a great day
