Here is video of CBS News Anchor Katie Couric last night saying the anti-ObamaCare protests going on at Town Hall Meetings across the nation are a result of "fear and, frankly, ignorance."
Couric, in her usual condescending way, called the current debate a "sideshow," meaning that dissent to Obama's agenda is not what should be heard these days. The Mainstream Media have a lot invested in Obama and his plans. After all, they sacrificed their journalistic integrity to get him elected, and now he has to be seen as a successful President. They are doing all they can to help him along, demonizing every person and every group who dares to stand in his way. This is why Fox News' Bill O'Reilly now has more viewers than Katie Couric and the CBS Evening News. . . . . (Watch Video)

cbs news ratings have plummeted since they got her on board. she is not credible, biased, and not to be trusted. this is tv poison when it comes to broadcast news. CBS, do yourself a favor and get rid of her, you insult your days of walter cronkite with her presence.

I’d hardly call it a “sacrifice.” And I would definitely not call it “integrity.”
But the more these effetist tut-tutters drone on, the more unlikeable they are. And if a news personality is unlikeable, they are un-trustable. Couric is on a glide path to retirement.

Exactly. She has advanced degrees in what? She's a recognized expert in what? As a physician with a good many years experience in health care, at multiple levels, I think I have a bit more knowledge about health care than a talking head with a closed mind. Ignorance is most prominent in those who refuse to learn. Ideologues close off big chunks of the world because it doesn't fit with their ideology. This plan is a disaster, written by people who don't spend their time taking care of patients.
It is ignorance and arrogance that cause ms. Couric to make stupid statements like that. I wonder if the sponsors of her show agree with her assesment?
