He’s rightxsmommy. Unless you have checked out the advantages of Panama, don’t knock it. Taking into consideration that our idiots have elected a rabid Communist who has appointed 50 czars in 7 months, Panama looks mighty good. Also no property taxes on your home for the first 25 years. if the SHTF here and the people decide to accept their life with a jackboot on their throats, we will leave here and make our vacation home in Panama our permanent home. Even considering building a new one where our son just bought vacation property there. We have other friends that bought an island a few years ago and is now starting to build his home. He’s already started the cistern.

Hey mojitojoe,

I didn’t know you were a Panagringo. I’m a Panagringa living in the middle of Panama City. Without getting specific, what part of the country is your summer home? Welcome to the paradise of the world.

We also finally got a great president elected to office. He is going to do great things for this country. I tell folks he is our Panamanian Sarah Palin. It’s country first and all political crooks and their crooked friends are running for their lives. And all unnecessary government jobs are rapidly being eliminated.

Keep in touch.

he’s right about WHAT? and who is knocking advantages of Panama? did you read what i wrote? my beef with Craig is him trying to tell those of us who live here how to conduct our battles in the townhalls over obamacare. i don’t care where he lives, or what kind of insurance he has, or what a nice country Panama is. it’s irrelevant to the conversation. he started out on this thread telling some people, whom he doesn’t see as up to the battle, to stay home. That was out of line and is what got people’s backs up on this thread.
As for Panama, I was a latin american studies major as an undergrad, i speak spanish and have traveled a bit around latin america. Personally, i would pick Costa Rica as a haven, but that’s just my personal preference.
