One of the funniest signs I have seen in a long time was one held yesterday outside of Eagles training camp (I believe). It said “Hide your Beagle, Vick’s an Eagle”.
I’m an eagle’s fan and I think this signing makes no football sense at all. Just stupid and unnecessary. That said...
VICK KILLED DOGS. DOGS. There are several players playing right now (or will next year) who have KILLED HUMAN BEINGS or have been party to murder. I hate to break this to y’all, but that is a far greater offense to me.
I have a dog. I like dogs. But this “outrage” over Vick’s heinous crimes (for which he served nearly 2 yrs where as the drunken Donte Stallworth served 26 DAYS for KILLING A HUMAN BEING) is absurd.
The Eagles backup QB, kevin Kolb hunts wild boar in TX with his dogs. Sometimes, the boars fight the dogs and tear them to shreds. Sometimes his dogs tear up the boar. I’m not clear where the line is here.
My point is, Vick sucks as a QB, the Eagles didn’t need him, the NFL is hypocritical, and this whole phony debate is annoying now.
