My senators wouldn’t change their minds if God Himself came down with Page 425 graven on stone tablets and cracked them over their heads with it.

On Page 425 of this Health Care Bill, the Federal Government will require EVERYONE who is on Social Security (this will include all senior citizens and SSI people) to a MANDATORY counseling session every 5 years in which the counselor will explain to the person why and how to choose one of various ways to end his/her suffering (and his/her life). Yes, they are going to push SUICIDE to cut Medicare spending! Health care will be denied based on age. 500 billion dollars will be cut from the senior citizen healthcare budget. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care. The oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option
The entire plan is designed to take health care from elderly American citizens, so that it can be redistributed to the 25 million++ illegal aliens who will become legalized during Stage 3 of Zer0’s Program To Destroy America.
That’s what it’s all about from start to finish, top to bottom.

I am fighting for HIS life, as well as my parents.
The plan is designed to cut costs. There are only two ways to cut costs:
1. provide less service
2. use less expensive medical technology
Since seniors use the most medical services, that is where the most bang for the buck can be found by providing less service.
#2 looks good on the service. Why should we use the most expensive medical technology (medicine, machines, surgical procedures, etc...)? Because the most expensive is usually the most modern. The newests, most effective medicines cost more (same with machines and surgical techniques.)
Using cheaper technology means using OLD technology. That’s why in England they don’t use the newest (and best) cancer drugs. Too expensive.
We should just man up and admit QUALITY medical care is expensive as hell and always will be.

As I stated, it’s a redistribution plan, so that our current 25 million+++ illegals can get taxpayer-supported health care.
Also as I stated, the way to pay for that is to (a) make everyone fund the government program (i.e., “tax everyone”), and (b) reduce the expensive health care services to pay for the expanded coverage to the illegal aliens.
Your argument about “quality” is confusing, and I don’t get your point.
I have to tell you I just read that section. It says a lot of politcal/legal crap I don’t understand but never does it say suicide. It does mention advanced directives and since I have a 87 year old mom with advanced dementia I’m thankful for her making arrangements in this area years ago. Please don’t think I’m defending this piece of dog pile at all. I’m just saying nothing I see says suicide.
BTW - ‘elderly’ is anyone over 55 for government purposes.
That sounds “nice” enough but I want NONE of his sneaking, legalese-infested, incomprehensible bill.

I do not trust HIM, anything he SAYS or what “form” this bill *may* be in *right now*.
To allow the bill to pass, even weakened and defanged only opens the door to inevitable “amendments”.
The section on page 425 refers only to Medicare PAYING for a doctor to present end-of-life-care options, such as advanced directives on what kind of care the doctor/hospital should provide when the patient is in a state where they can’t respond. It says nothing about suicide, “death panels” and other such nonsense. Salamander, I would question your extreme dislike of Obama; does that mean it is right for you to spread lies about what the bill really says. The bill says what it says; any future amendments will have to be voted on at that time.
P.S. BTW, Obama didn’t write the bill; the HofR did.

No I do not - remembered it from another discussion on Social Security. I’m affraid you’ll have to go onto some gov site to confirm/deny.

“the HofR? You mean various Represntatives sponsored various bits of legeslation and various committees assembeled it and the after more conferences brought a bill to the floor to be voted on? It House Resolution or House Rule. Abbrivaitions are H. Res. or H.R. A collective effort not some guy named HofR.
Sure the House wrote the bill, and I got a bridge to sell cheap. Just weasel words - Hussein didn’t actually sit down with pen & paper - but Pelosi/Reid are just the fall guys (plausible denial and all) - and thankfully they are less extreme than he is - but that’s not saying much.
BTW: not all of the bill is in the Health Care bill - some is in HR 1 Final Stimulous Bill.
So you are a lawyer? Can you make heads or tails of the techincal legalese? Have you analysied all the sections, provisions in HR 3200 which reference other bills and the ramnifications of them?
This bill is about population control not cutting or improving health in general. To cut costs there would be Health Tort Reform.
Why do they need direct real time access to my/your bank account? For one.
And the Unions support this piece of crap because their private health carre options are grandfathered in. It does not effect them.

Our local grocery store has a “senior citizen 10% discount day” every Tuesday.
The sign specifically states “55 and older”.
Seems to me that somebody is trolling for fish.
