Obamacare Will Take Away Your Children

Do you want government healthcare? OK, then you shouldn’t mind if the government comes knocking at your door to see if you are raising your child in the government approved manner, right? Well that is just another of the authoritarian provisions of Obamacare.

Former Hollywood tough guy and current conservative columnist Chuck Norris found another one of Obama’s little Chicago styled, thuggish provisions tucked into the House healthcare bill that should make everyone worry about government overreach.

In sections 440 and 1904 on page 838 of the House bill, government aggregates unto itself the right to invade the home of any citizen with minor children in order to institute “home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children.” The supposed goal is to “help” train parents in the government approved style of child rearing.

It's just ordinary Communism. Marxism always demanded that the State would own the children; the parents would merely produce them as a matter of duty. After that, the State would indoctrinate them and turn them into the "New Soviet Man".

This is old news. The Bolsheviks are still there, sitting in their institutions in New Yawk and Washington, seething with hate, looking forward to the day when they can impose Socialism (=Communism) without anyone noticing.

They still think Stalin was great if somewhat heavy handed and they still want to destroy "bourgeois society".

That's all this is.

Lots of FReepers have been leaving off the /s/ figuring that what they are saying is so obviously sarcasm that we will all get it.

But things are too crazy anymore.

These people won't be doctors! Doctors aren't going to have time to 'make house calls' after they get 45 million 'new patients'!

I feel sorry for doctors who will be forced to accept this OBAMACARE crap! Some of them aren't going to do it even if it means QUITTING the practice! Then who will make up that difference in health care providers?!

If you have ever dealt with any government social workers or the like, you should have a huge problem with the government deciding what is “age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices,” and “skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development.”

How long would it take the government-approved child psychologist to tell a young American boy that his desires to hunt or “play soldier” were inappropriate and destructive to both him and Bambi!

They have to find some way to provide children for all the same sex marriages.

They would likely be social workers, not doctors. You can bet spanking would not be on their approved list. What else? What kind of data would they collect and store? Our pediatrician already asks if we have a gun in the house (we refuse to answer). That question is on a recommended list of question put out by the American Academy Pediatrics. Check out this nice little pamphlet. I can only imagine how that list would expand.

What about taking your child to church with you? The UN says that it is wrong to "impose" your religious view on your child. How would you feel about the Social Worker interviewing your child without you present? That happens now to Homeschoolers. In one case a social worker had the child pull down their pants to check for bruising without the parent present. The social worker was busted when the parent entered the room when they heard the child crying.

I could go on and on.

Nothing good would come from this.

This is one of those rare cases where I would support someone’s right to break the law. If parents refused the government’s wish to enter their home to see how they were raising their children, I would support them.

I don’t say that lightly. I think Social Security is unconstitutional, for example, but I pay my Social Security taxes and think everyone else should too. We have to live with the bad laws our leaders pass. One can’t go to Civil Disobedience for everything. The law should be changed, but we should obey the law while it is ineffect.

But in a few cases, such as gun confiscation and blatant, extreme, and unconstitutional intrusion into private affairs, people have the God-given right to say no.

I can’t explain with rigor why resisting government entrance of a private domain to monitor child raising practices is so much worse than other unconstitutional acts of the Feds. It just strikes me as an extreme and dangerous case of government gone awry.

If Conservatives gather their wits and go to the polls instead of setting around with their thumbs up their behinds and complaining, we can turn this all off next year. Vote the bums out. Republicans are getting as bad as the Dems with this stupid blame game. If you dont round up all the Republicans and get them to the polls next year, you have no one to blame but yourself. Whether you like it or not, this is a Two Party System and all this BS about another party only makes the Democrats stronger. Until a 3rd party emerges with a stronger membership than either of the others, then there is no use of talking. Perhaps that can be done by 2012, but it aint gonna happen next year, so accept it, it is still going to be a Two Party System. Acorn and Republicans.

That’s from the old bill, the new bill still in committee will be altogether different so all present arguments about the original are moot and it is time to move on...

I agree it's crap.

But could you tell me on what line or lines on the referenced section (p. 838) you see these things?
