You might be right, but I have read variously that he used the words "terrible resolve." Personally, I like to think that the "terrible resolve" is what has been awakened in this nation regarding Healthcare and Amnesty. A terrible resolve would mean the unconditional surrender of liberalism to the side of decency.
I fear that we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.
