while 56% of those over 65 are opposed

Many of whom, at the behest of their beloved AARP, helped put The Turd into office.

Doesn’t matter if 99.999% of Americans oppose it the Socialists will shove it through anyway...

Disgust at Congress, Zero, and his Gestapo Czar Administration is growing rapidly. They’ve (along with Soros) seriously misjudged the American people who repudiate their lies and will never accept a dictator and no freedom.

More significantly, 44% of voters strongly oppose the health care reform effort versus 26% who strongly favor it.

Hmmmm. 26%-44% is -16%. Could be that this is a leading indicator for Rasmussen's Presidential Approval Index. The unpopularity of Obama and his policies has to merge eventually. Things are certainly heading in that direction.

As you would predict 69% of Democrats favor the plan

The only thing more stunning than how out of step these people are with the rest of the country, is that the rest of the country elected them.

I don’t know about that, the American people voted him into office. A percentage of them are apparently just fine with a dictatorship. We’ll call them progressives. What gets me is the ones who now oppose their policys. Admittedly the MSM carries the lefts water but one would hope your average American is bright enough to see through the BS. Apparently not.

The Dems need the GOP to give some cover. The way this plan is written it does not begin to offer benefits before 2013, but the taxes to pay for it start in 2010. That’s two elections with no benefit but plenty of taxes. The GOP can run the Dems out of the country with that situation. Let the GOP come on board with 60 House votes and 25 Senate votes and it removes Obamacare as a partisan issue.

The more people read HR 3200, the more they’re against this debacle.

I expect October to be National Pitchforks and Torches Month after opposition hits 70% but they pass it anyway.

Black voters voted about 90% for Obama, given the 12% of Americans are black and would agree with anything Obama wants That means that about 10% of that 42% is a given. Leaving 32% who actually fayor the plan.

A lot of the Democrats like Pelosi and Dingell are in super-safe districts where they face only token opposition to re-election.

Senators are elected by the whole state--so someone like Specter has to be more worried about public opinion. Of course some senators don't have to worry about re-election until 2014.

Obama may end up being the best thing to happen to America in the past century. I questioned whether modern day Americans as a whole would/could fight back an assault on their freedoms. It is great to see gumption. May it continue through 2010 & 2012 and never grow complacent again.
