“I believe that there is no question at all that they are singling out and attacking intelligent, well-spoken conservative women because they represent a threat to “NOW-feminist Democrats.”

Of course. But would these women pose such a threat if they were intelligent, well spoken women who supported abortion while adopting an otherwise conservative agenda? NOW is a single issue organization completely committed to the preservation and extension of abortion. Sure, they may adopt other liberal positions but that is a tactical maneuver, a payback for the support of other liberal organizations for their support of the NOW agenda.

NOW supported Bill Clinton and opposed impeachment despite his actions which would have brought NOW condemnation of any other man for one and only one reason. They believed that the preservation of Bill Clinton as president was essential to the defense of abortion on demand. If Clinton had not supported abortion, NOW would not have rushed to his defense.

If Clinton had not supported abortion, NOW would not have rushed to his defense, in fact they would have been among the first to call for his head.

Abortion is most certainly a key plank in the conservative, life-affirming worldview.

But, again, there are a LOT of Republicans who are pro-life. If it’s all about abortion, and NOT about targeting attractive conservative Republican female politicians, then why are they saving their most rabid fire for ONLY these women?

They came unglued over Sarah Palin as they haven’t done for ANYONE else EVER. And now Politico is reporting that they are doing the SAME thing to Michelle Bachmann. And let’s not forget what they did not Carrie Prejean (and her issue was gay marriage, not abortion).

I’m not saying abortion is irrelevant; I’m saying the goal is to destroy a particular type of politician who supports abortion: attractive Republican women.

Let me be crystal clear
