It’s pretty simple. Romney knows there’s nothing to gain by being the first out of the gate. He sees Palin getting trashed and knows he’d rather let her take all the fire, and slide in when he has to, rather than compete for the spot light so early on.

Romeny has a big anchor around his neck,.....his own healthcare fiasco in Mass. You have to know that will be the first thing out of every talking head that interviews him. That is what happens to "kinder gentler, compassionate" conservatives that try to water down what works with the liberal religious dogma.
