Obviously, Juan McCain didn't get the memo until only recently.
Sadly, too true.
I've been around these parts for too long and I instinctively know how to distinguish phonies from the real thing.
Posting an old article from when she was running as McCain's VP? Why doesn't this idiot find out what Sarah Palin says now?
Anyway, I had a long trip back from Rome and I am dead tired for this crap. Hey, not you, Rabs. I always enjoyed your pings. :-)
Good night.
Obviously, Juan McCain didn't get the memo until only recently.
rabscuttle385, Truer words have rarely been spoken. McCain and the people he surrounded himself with were incredibly unkind to Sarah Palin during and after the election. It says a lot about him.
I am reserving judgment about Sarah Palin as a viable candidate, though (viable = someone I would vote for).
I question Palin's judgment on several issues, among them her choice of running with John McCain in the first place. As my dad would have said, "We are known by the company we keep".
Immigration is another issue, based on this interview from last year (why is this being brought up now, btw? Didn't we discuss it then? It's in no way "new" news).
Federal funding for special needs children is yet another issue. I've read things that led me to think that she was/is in favor of increased federal funding for special needs children.
As hard as it may seem, people with a bedrock understanding of conservatism will have the courage to avoid the trap of being in favor of increased federal funding, especially on issues that tug at the heart strings.
I await clarification before committing.
I see that once again, Mrs. Palin has not taken my free (yet incredibly valuable) advice. I have remarked more than once on FR that the former Gov. needs to "distance and distinguish herself" from her former running mate. The issue of amnesty would be a great place to start. (I understand that as #2 on the ticket, she would have to acquiesce to McStupid's position. I have no problem with her making such a statement during the campaign)
Memo to all y'all: she's not the veep candidate anymore, and therefore, free to give her opinions (as am I). She hasn't done this on amnesty, and, frankly, I believe that there is a great reason for this: Her opinions are really in sync with McQueeg's.
I remain unimpressed with Mrs. Palin.
