Blue Dog Blues

If House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were looking ahead—to the endgame on health care, and the election beyond—she’d be thinking hard on Walt Minnick. That she isn’t explains the Democratic Party’s growing woes.

Rep. Minnick is one of Mrs. Pelosi’s “majority makers,” and a bit of a miracle at that. This is a guy who last year ousted an Idaho GOP incumbent by 4,000 votes. His district—rural, with a pinch of Boise—went 67% for George W. Bush in 2004, and 61% for John McCain. The last time Idaho sent a Democrat to Washington was the early 1990s. The time before that preceded color TV.

This may sound hard for some to believe but the best chances we have for stopping BHO’s radical Marxist agenda and taking back the Congress rests with ousting the Blue Dogs. The Blue Dogs represent mostly conservative leaning and swing districts which should be ours to begin with.

The Blue Dogs are the worst of the worst. They are very two faced. They talk conservative at home in their districts then vote for Pelosi for Speaker in Washington. I actually have more respect for an out and out Marxist like Marxine Waters than I do for the two faced Blue Dogs. At least with Waters you always know where she stands. She talks and votes the same way. Of course it would be next to impossible to defeat a congressman like Waters in any event because she is deeply entrenched in a one party urban district.

The hunting will be better going after the rinos in the primary season then targeting the phony Blue Dogs in the Fall of next year.

We have a much better chance of this than we do of locating BHO’s original COLB.

Mr. Minnick sounds like a good guy to keep around for the most part. Only one thing bothered me.

“This has got to be paid for, and not with smoke and mirrors,” he told me. “It’s got to do more to control costs. The problem with America is not that we are spending too little; we are spending plenty. We just aren’t getting good outcome.”

I get the impression that this is one of those politicians who seems to think Americans want big government as long as it is efficient. I would be more inclined to agree with this “poor guy look what he has to put up with” theme had he said the government has to get out of the way and remove the restrictions that make insurance uncompetitive.

Let insurance companies offer products consumers want and get the trial lawyers out of our pockets. Not too much to ask really.

Don’t know. He just sounds too much like a Colon Power Republican for my tastes and thus a problem. I simply can’t gin up a lot of sympathy for his suposed plight.

My representative, Democrat Suzanne Kosmas, is that EXACT same way! She even makes NO MENTION of the fact on her Facebook page that she is a Democrat!!

Go after her ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am tired of these Blue Dog phonies. They are the reason the Democrats control the Congress.

Did you know that Democrat congressmen represent 49 congressional districts carried by John McCain in last year’s presidential election?

This is where our opportunity rests. These are basically conservative leaning areas which should rightly be ours.
