You, sir, are painting with far too broad a brush. I am also LDS and have five children...yet I see the value in pursuinig the BC issue on a contstitutional basis, and I support Sarah Palin hands down.

You are allowing your own animosities and bias to taint your expression. I would be grateful if you would withdraw your comments about LDS people not being able to be rational.

This poster posted his opinion...he did not attack anyone's personal faith while so doing, nor did he even raise the issue on this thread. I strongly disagree with him on this issue, and I also strongly disagree with your broad brush, scatter gun attacks on my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ...and that is who I place my faith in.

I will leave that statement to stand on its own...it is a direct and honest statement. It is not my desire or intent to get into a theological debate with you, nor will I. That is not what this thread is about, nor was it about that until you interjected it.

I am not attacking your Christian faith, and in fact, I am sincerely glad and grateful that you have that faith and express it. Please allow me the same. My faith is between me and my Savior, Jesus Christ, and He will be the judge in the end.

“I would be grateful if you would withdraw your comments about LDS people not being able to be rational.”

In good conscience I cannot do that. Mormonism is based upon a spurious/bogus prophet and spurious/bogus documents that no “rational” person would fall for - anymore than buying into scientology (i.e. Tom Cruise & John Travolta). Joseph Smith and L. Ron Hubbard were both con men. I cannot nor will I back off from that assertion.

The writer accused others of not being “rational” while he himself buys something totally irrational. IMO his looses the moral authority to call anyone irrational.

Now can Mormons do rational things? Yes, even liberal atheists get things right at times. Devout Mormons are a very “moral” people, but so are some devout Hindus, etc. Being “moral” doesn’t make you “Christian.”

I AM sorry that religion got interjected into this thread, but I felt it necessary because I believe this individual to have a hidden (Mitt Romney) agenda. Otherwise, to keep the peace, I would not have gone for the jugular. I think his mormon beliefs are germane to the discussion.

You have the option to complain to the moderator.
