The Boehner explanation is a way better option than trying to figure out the language of the amendments themselves. We should demand that legislation be written in such a way that anyone can understand it. That legalese is just outrageous.
I dont know about other Representatives, but my Representative Steny Hoyer isnt going around trying to explain anything. He is hiding out in his home on the Patuxent. As far as I can tell he has no wish whatsoever to hear from a constituent. I wish he would come out so we can talk a few things over.

In the ordinary world out there, ordinary people think of "crisis prevention, or "crisis control." In the world of Washington's Democrats, they think of "crisis creation."
