HELP!

Maybe some of you Freepers can help me. We have the term junk science to refer to certain types of science that are more politics than science. Do we we have a common term to refer to the junk entertainment industry? This would be the branch of entertainment on cable such as reality shows, E!, and a whole bunch of other trash entertainment. I'd rather watch wrestling. The acting is better.

When I go through the check out line at local super market, I'm assaulted by dozens of magazines with stories about these shallow people. This is destroying our culture and civilization. I'm sick of it. Even on my start page (despite by best efforts) I get tons of this junk. What can I do about it?

Heh.

In fact, this show is a very shallow show which I write about extensively but I’m going out on a limb here and suggesting that you need to read a book, take a walk, GET A GRIP.

Our civilization and culture is being destroyed way more by the people we ELECT than this sort of harmless thing.

But on a pretty Sunday afternoon you had nothing better to do than get on a thread and complain...we understand.
