Because seemingly, even official spokesman replies aren't good enough, reading through posts. I use the Burnett/Enq suit as a comparison, she filed against the outlet that printed the libelous stuff, not one reporter (if I recall correctly). Sarah Palin would have to do it this way, unless someone knows how to file against bloggers posting junk, if indeed those were the *multiple sources* indicated.
Look how fast the rumormill works, how many people heard this and accepted it as true before this clarification was issued?
I follow this news reporter on our local station here in LA..Fox 11 News, even Gigi Graciette twittered “Sarah and Todd Getting Divorced?” so I twittered her back and told her to grow some brain cells and that the story was complete BS. Good God, what the hell has happened to the press. They will believe ANYTHING coming from a web site, no matter how phony the web site is, what next, I twitter something and it’s spread everywhere. She has to sue, I don’t think she has a choice, people sue the National Enquirer all the time because of BS stories. Every time the press makes up a lie, Sarah can sue, bankrupt them, that is the ONLY way they will stop
