Poor L.Ron...he's so misunderstood. At least the demon monkeys that live in his hair understand what really he means.

Waiting on a link to the transcript instead of what some goofball said he said. This isn't the first time that folks have taken things out of context... I don't think you even need a link to figure that out. The author quotes Paul saying "I have my ideal system I would like to see, with the government out completely because that would be a much better system." In other words, the author quotes Paul saying the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the author then claims he really says.
In short, the author isn't just quoting out of context, he is flat out, openly lying. He then continues with some other quotes where Paul acknowledges that the political powers that be won't vote that way in the hopes that we're all too stupid to realize that the author just flat out, openly lied to us. And posted the quote to prove that the author lied.

Does Ron Paul enjoy going against the flow?...why he changes horses in mid-stream?
Maybe he's bi-polar...the universal excuse for everything.

Doctors will be the biggest beneficiaries of socialized medicine. Why would you think that? In every country with any form of socialized medicine, doctors make FAR less than what they make in the US. In the US, private doctors make a lot more than government doctors. Medicare and Medicaid pay a small fraction of what doctors charge everyone else.

Whoever wrote this has no comprehension skills. Have they ever really listened to Paul?
Most Freepers are against his views on military and defense issues - but right in line with the rest of his views - including healthcare I bet.

No, I took the time to listen to what he actually said. in the video., which was:
"I have my ideal system I would like to see, with the government out completely."
Because rather than depend on some random no-name whatsoever blogger to transcribe what I wanted or didn't want to hear...based on my own prejudice. I chose to actually check it out for myself.
Somewhat unlike those too lazy to try and think for themselves!

L.Ron talks out of both sides of his mouth, the hypocrite that he is.
Just like when he lards bills with hometown pork and then proudly clucks about voting against the bill—knowing it will pass anyway.
His standards are very malleable—much like the soft skulls of his acolytes.

He said more - but nothing to reinforce this blogger’s take on the interview - that I can see anyway.
Paul knows you couldn’t just drop all the people who have become dependent on government run healthcare. It’s sad that it had to get to this point - but we can’t just hang grannies and the disabled out to dry. Paul has an ideal system in mind - but he is also practical and compassionate. Some kind of transistion phase would be necessary to implement any ideal plan Paul might have. He has said this many times.

Here's most of the latter half of the intervew that contains the quote, since you can't be bothered to be intellectually honest:
Kiran Chetry: You know, what we do though about this problem with uninsured children, many people are uninsured, the millions
your state, by the way, according to the United Health Foundation survey ranks 46 out of 50 in terms of overall health and one of the biggest challenges for your state right now is that theres a high percentage of children in poverty and a big uninsured population.
Ron Paul: Right.
Kiran Chetry: So there you are opposing this. Your state seems to be in dire straits when it comes to this situation. Whats the solution for Texas?
Ron Paul: Well, one think you have to do is say why do people come up short and why is the cost so high and its inflation and its the government management of the healthcare system that is at fault. But even though I have my ideal system, I would like to see the government out completely because that would be a much better system.
Its not going to happen. Im realistic, but one thing that we shouldnt do is pay for it with money created out of thin air. So what I would do in the transition and Ive talked about this a whole lot is cut spending somewhere and take care of the very people youre talking about. Because you dont want to cut under these conditions, medical care from poor people who have been dependent, or the elderly. But I would cut from overseas spending. I would cut from these trillions and trillions of dollars that we have spent over the years and bring our troops home, so that we can finance it.
A first, a very, very minor step was done yesterday by cutting the F-22 and I applaud Obama for that, but we dont need one system removed. We need to change our foreign policy, then we could afford the healthcare that is necessary to tide us over until we have come to our senses and believe that freedom can deliver medical care much better than our bureaucracy in government, but you have to deal with the problem of inflation as well because thats why people find that medical care costs too much.

Im not a Paul fan, but its news to me that hes not a fully-legitimate physician. He is. Strange sentence unless they were talking about the author or defender? Either way, this is not surprising. Kind of like pork- just "play the game".

Are you telling your buds to check out the spin that the blogger has put on Pauls words and views?
To anyone who knows Pauls views - even those who don’t like them (or him) - this blogger’s spin is laughable.
I don’t even get how he (or she) has come away thinking that Paul wants socialized medecine. This person needs to go back to school.

It’s possible that they could suppress demand for each patient, and still have a shortage, given that the 1/3 who supposedly don’t receive adequate care will now be demanding it, albeit at the suppressed rate. Worst of all worlds. That’s what I think will happen.
