I did a double-take when I saw some John Deere corporate ephemera "commemorating" the 50th anniversary of Kruschev's visit. Big Green celebrating a Big Red! If they wanted to remember socialists in agriculture, they could have googled up some obscure anniversary for Henry Wallace or Roswell Garst, but I suppose those two were pretty small potatoes (or any other agricultural commodity) compared to Nikita.
(Who, during his visit, stayed overnight in my hometown... which so far has not scheduled a "Kruschev Slept Here" Day celebration.)
