Thank you, that’s wonderful!
Now, just have this Zer0 A-hole stop spending $100,000 per month to cover-up the issue, and have him spend $20 to show us his birth certificate!
At the time the Framers put the Constitution together, the citizenship of the mother was very much a secondary consideration. The crucial factor in determining the natural citizenship of the child was and should remain, the citizenship of the father, and the father only.
Here is definition of “natural born citizen” is that as written by Emmerich De Vattel in his “The Law of Nations or the Principles of Natural Law” (1758):
natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owns to its own preservation: and it is presumed, as a matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see, whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for if he is born there of a foreigner, it will only be the place of his birth, and not his country.
The evidence that this is the definition that was understood by the Framers is quite convincing, but I won’t do more than just assert that notion here.
Bastardy is not an issue.
Yep.... Obama may be a natural born citizen after all, but then again he many not be.... Isn’t that still to be determine?
You may have stumbled upon the jaws of the trap.
2011 Presidential Address: “I am a bastard.” tears shedding. “I have fought the Republicans tooth and nail to keep my family’s shame from becoming public, but today they have won. I am now forced to admit that I was born out of wedlock.”
how many times do people have to point this out?!?!?!
THE QUESTION ISN'T WHETHER OR NOT OBAMA IS A CITIZEN, IT'S WHETHER HE IS A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS WITH TWO DIFFERENT LEGAL MEANINGS.
Sorry to shout, but SHEESH!!!
So either you're trolling or ignorant of all the myriad threads and videos out there that destroy your post.
Yes, I wonder if Obama is concerned that real birth certificate
would reveal that he was illegitimate or father a bigamist.
Something he would find personally embarrassing.
My understanding is that being a "natural born" US citizen is,Constitutionally, different from simply being "a citizen" also,I read a comment wriiten by a Justice of the SCOTUS (can't recall who or when) that said to be a "natural born" citizen one must have been born in the US of *two* US citizens.
obama’s mother wasn’t old enough to qualify under the law in effect at that time to grant obama natural born citizenship. As I understand it. I may have my facts slightly incorrect.
But assuming polygamy was illegal in Hawaii at the time of Obama's birh, would you agree with my conclusion?

Right, well, maybe. The one exception to both parents being citizens would be if the father is unknown. But the father IS known, even though it’s questionable there was a genuine marriage. There might not have been any marriage, or that marriage may have been invalid as a bigamy. So much is unknown!
Nor is it certain he was born in Hawaii.
My best guess is he was born in Canada!
My feelings weren’t consulted when I had to show my birth certificate when I enlisted in the United States Army.
As commander-in-chief, I think that he should—at the very least—do as much.
The Constitution, nor any of the ensuing court decisions, mention legal marriage, only actual parentage and the Nationality of the parents.
What does moose cheese have to do with Gorebull warming?
Nice to make a vanity on an issue that has been explained and explained and explained.
But let’s try once again.
Ok, you are incorrect that Obama would have been a “Natural Born Citizen” due to his mother being a US Citizen.
From 1952 to 1986, if a child is born to ONE US citizen and ONE NON-CITIZEN, citizenship will transfer AS LONG AS THE US CITIZEN HAS LIVED IN THE US FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS, FIVE OF WHICH OVER THE AGE OF 16 (or 14 as some legal scholars have said). EITHER WAY, OBAMA’S MOTHER WAS 18, not old enough to transfer citizenship ON HER OWN MERIT.
Therefore, Obama is ONLY a citizen of what nation his FATHER was. Being born here (or anchor baby) did not automatically apply until 1986. So some (and justifiably) have argued even if he was born here, he is still not even a citizen, much less natural born.
However I feel most would accept being born here. Unfortunately, Obama won’t even prove that. And I don’t mean show a computer document to a website. I can’t march into the DMV and demand a drivers license with information they can obtain by viewing a copy on a photobucket account I have.
I believe that is NOT CORRECT.
I think at one time, they placed a lower limit on the age of the mother. And I believe that lower limit was not abolished until after obama was born. Therefore, at the time of obama’s birth, he did not qualify for “natural born”.
I will need to double check to make sure I’m not misinformed. But that is how I understand it.
How interesting you show a birth announcement of an address that people who have lived in a neighboring house for over 40 years claim to have NEVER seen a white woman and a black man or a white woman with a black baby living in. Ever.
Before getting into anything else, Obama was born a “Dual Citizen” having Citizenship under the US and Britain, according to his claim. This gives him divided jurisdiction under two countries or a citizenship, by and at birth that is not whole.
No matter where Barry was born, he is not a “Natural Born Citizen” of any country.
We can get into the other issues but I think I have seen your posts before and you are aware of the arguments.

Yes, but people will go on believing a computerized document as if Dan Rather and his documents never existed.
