Why get a COLB if you have a long form Birth Certificate

No, the CoLB is merely an abstract of some of the information on the Long Form/Certificate of Live Birth. It's just used to save money, since it can be printed from a minimal set of data abstracted into a computer database.

However the data may be taken from other documents than a (in this case) Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth. It may even be taken from a foreign Birth Certificate, along with some consular paperwork. Or in Hawaii the Certificate itself may be based solely on an affidavit attesting that the parents were residents of Hawaii for at least a year, and intended to reamin so, even though the child was not born in Hawaii. The original Long Form has much more information, including he source of that information. It would show if the birth was repored as a "home birth", or "late/delayed" report.

But it hardly matters, since the posted COLB is a fraud anyway, so whatever it says, cannot be assumed to be true. That includes place of birth, date and time of birth, etc.

Of course Obammi would not have a Certificate of Birth from the Republic of Kenya, since the Republic of Kenya did not exist until 1963. Before then it was a British Crown Colony. So any BC issued from there should be British or British Colonial.
