The Clintons perfected the art of the legal defense fund.

Everything Sarah has been involved in is perfectly legal.

After July 25th, the Personnel Board has no jurisdiction over her anyway, so their opinion is moot. She’s a private citizen then.

And on July 26th, her lawyer can write them a letter and tell them politely to get lost.

Sarah should threaten to refuse to pay any legal bills herself and turn them directly over to the State of Alaska if the State doesn’t back off. After all, the expenses were incurred in her official capacity as Governor. That would be a court battle worthy of pay for view.

Apparently she has that option now, and is choosing to NOT penalize the taxpayers of Alaska with the costs. And here they are, condemning her for that very thing. Amazing.

Its important that the Personnel Board find Palin not guilty on all of these ethic charges even when she does leave office. If the Board finds Palin guilty on just one charge, the media will say, “See look, Palin quit because she was found guilty.”
