“Let hospitals and insurance companies compete. Stop forcing them to cover everything. A single man doesn’t need cervical cancer coverage etc etc. The mandates have raised the price of insurance mightily. Allow Medical Savings Accounts.
Let a hospital offer their own ‘insurance’ where you get covered for paying a monthly membership fee.
Let doctors charge flat monthly fees for service.

Most people on this forum know that it’s not the government’s business to regulate this, but rather than saying that Obama and the Democrats’ solutions are wrong, conservatives need to offer answers. If this means explaining why there is nothing wrong, fine. If this means explaining why the government is ruining the healthcare system, and just needs to back off, that’s fine, but the GOP needs to be the party of answers!
That’s the kind of conservative message the GOP needs to spread!
The cost is so high because of the mandates and the people who think ‘someone else’ is paying for everything.
