Here is video from tonight's The O'Reilly Factor, where O'Reilly talked to Scott Rasmussen of Rasmussen Reports. Rasmussen gave insight into President Obama's falling poll numbers, which show support for Obama dropping across the board on issues such as Cap and Trade, Government Health Care, and even confirmation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Rasmussen has been one of the most accurate pollsters over the last ten years. . . . . (Watch Video)

“Elections have consequences,” Scott Rasmussen says.

Hopefully more Americans will come to understand this now.

Too many understood that before the elections. If you live on the public dole are you going to vote for the candidate who wants to take that money away from you and, gulp, make you get a real job? Or are you going to vote for that cool dude who is going to make sure that check and maybe even a little more comes your way each and every month? The Dims have been buying votes forever and now that class of people is so entrenched that they outnumber those of us who don’t live that way. They awake to “politics” only when that Demmie precinct committeeperson or whatever they’re called shows up and tells them they have to go vote (or we’ll just take care of it for you) or else that big meanie “other candidate” is going to make sure you don’t get your check/foodstamps/Section 8 housing subsidy/whatever.

That’s what we’re really up against in this country and each and every day those people who suckle at the government teat increase in number. They are the ultimate in single-issue voters - they vote only for their own welfare.

This is why they’re in a hurry to Rahm through as much nasty legislation as possible. The clock’s ticking.

They have to get this done before the approval numbers go completely south and they have no political capital.

They have to get this done fast to so strengthen themselves and weaken the opposition that they remain in power no matter how badly people hate them.

They have to get this done fast before the 2010 election cycle begins and they will be forced to put on their moderate faces for a season.

A big nasty turd can only hide its stink for so long before people get a whiff of that foul odor. It’s time to flush all these nasty bastards down the tubes. They have been stinking up our country for far too long.

I think, and I hope to God I'm right, that Obama is basically done as a legislator. Cap 'n' Trade is dead. Major health care reform is dead. Clinton tried huge initiatives when he first came into office, and they fell flat, so he resorted to talking instead of doing. Obama is clueless about how to get legislation passed, and he thinks that passing it fast is the solution. Pelosi, also thankfully incompetent, is helping him.

I was relieved when Obama won. Both he and McCain are socialists, but Obama is an idiot. Better he drag the name of Democrats through the mud than have McCrazy (further) wreck the Republican brand. Say what you like about Bill Clinton, but he is smart. He realized his first mistakes and morphed. Obama has the heart (no soul) of a communist dictator, and he'll just keep pushing losing ideas just as Jimmy Carter did. The conservatives have a golden opportunity to win big in 2010 if they play this right. Unfortunately the deficit and economy will be in shambles by then.

I thought so once, right after Carter's malaise, double-digit unemployment and double-digit inflation nearly crippled the country was followed by Reagans boom economy. But it only took a few decades and here we are again.

There is a large population of Americans that just dont care anymore. They have the entitlement mentality and play it to the hilt.

BO’s dropping numbers are the reason he is trying to get his health and energy plans passed so quickly....before EVERYONE wakes up.

Some people are beginning to stir, but if he can get it done now—he’ll be able to then turn his attention to adminstration and regulation of our free speech and civil rights. And his plans for THOSE parts of our lives, I think, are even more draconian than the health and energy aspects.

Too many young people don't remember...I work with some kids born in the mid and late 80s. Never knew Reagan, and everything they've ever been taught about Carter is that he is a great guy.

Raised w/ 3 minute MTV attention spans, getting them to think through an issue instead of FEELING is a challenge. (Indeed that has always been the challenge when working with libs.)

Unfortunately, its far worse than that. We also have William Ayers project to influence teachers through seminars to find ways to inject "social justice" into the classroom, even in an Algebra class. "social justice" is what they want to call socialism... everything is about "branding" these days. This has been going on for decades. So it is no wonder, as Phyllis Schlafly wrote a few months ago, that even evangelical young adults voted for Obama citing "social justice" as the reason.

This is why I have been trying to push an educational project with conservative PACs, RNC, etc, but to no avail. I can find no takers. Such a program doesn't have any "fireworks" so it is not interesting, but this would work very very effectively to cure the problem by innoculating our youth from this socialist garbage with fun, interesting, and educational games and dvds.

So I may have to do this myself. I have just about convinced myself to setup a 501c, and try to raise funds to develop and market these materials. I also want well designed radio spots that are easy on the ear, but are thought provoking and remind us about why a Constitutional Republic is the best form of government in the world, far better than Communism.

Sorry about the long post :)
