Ya’ll had best be hoping there are some blue dog democrats, because a few more elections like the last few and the GOP is going to lose all the good parking spaces in DC.
Seriously, there are conservative democrats. As a another freeper pointed out to me a few weeks ago, there are less than what I thought, but there are still some out there. As a party, the GOP’s only hope is that BO and the Dems screw stuff up so bad that the voters throw the whole bunch out. And, when your best hope is that the other team screws up, that is not a good position to be in.
parsy, a conservative democrat
Exactly. All the so-called blue dogs will do is agree on some wussy compromise. Later, since the Entitlement is already in effect, congress will simply fix that little wussy compromise.
Roughly one-third of the Blue Dog Democrats are sincere and have the guts to buck the party line on a select few issues, such as Heath Schuler (NC) on illegal immigration or Colin Peterson (MN) on fiscal responsibility. Another third wear the Blue Dog figleaf to cloak their own ultraliberalism. The remaining third ebb and flow between the two camps.
There is no such thing as a conservative Democrat. Period. Just smoke and mirrors. If someone chooses to join todays RATS he/she hates this country and all it used to stand for.
If they really oppose it . . .let them say they oppose “any bill.”
Rep, Altmire, PA. was just on Cavuto (Fox). He said if the vote was taken today most of the 59 Blue Dog Dems would not vote for the Healthcare bill.
“There are no Blue Dog Democrats.”
True. All Democrats are scu&bag socialist swine, without esception.
(Liberal Democrats consider Republicans and/or Conservatives evil. So, the favor is returned, above.)
IMHO

Bingo - See my tagline. Plus, the Blue Lapdogs give the dims the majority which allows Nanny to be speaker. The sooner they are put down in an election, the better.
I have no idea. I know that in Arkansas, particularly when you move away from West Little Rock, where all the yuppies hipsters, (a new word I learned today on FR!) and rich folks are, the more conservative you get.
Just try to run in Arkansas on an anti-gun plank. Tax and spend still are bad words around here.
parsy, who wishes there even more blue dog democrats
This is normally not efficient because the advertising reaches people in 5 congressional districts which share the Pittsburgh television market, more if you count the border states of Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland's panhandle which are still within the broadcast area.
The real decisions about ObamaCare will happen in the Senate Finance Committee, and that won’t happen until later this Fall.
Perhaps you are not old enough ( or the writer isn’t), it has happened in the past. Sam Nunn was notorious for getting his way from them Yankee boys. I don’t care WHY they vote it down as long as they do. We win battles and it builds to winning the war
These so-called Blue Dogs are a farse. They will not vote “no” on anything without pelosi’s okay. She will only allow so many to vote “no” as will not affect the final outcome. Isn’t it funny how 44 voted “no” on the cram-and-tax bill and it passed by 3 votes?
Don't trust this liberal SOB from my state, nor our our two-faced senators Mark (I inherited my daddy's job) Pryor, or Blanche (blank-stare) Lincoln. Ptui!
You’re a Dem??? Gonna have to get your guitar to hit you in the face with a skillet....
That concerned the heck out of me. Scared me as a matter of fact. Being from Arkansas, I kind of assumed most southern democrats were conservative. A freeper did a very bad thing and sent me a link with the southern democrat’s conservative rating, and I became ill and had to eat some crow. So, yeah I’m scared.
parsy, who is hoping enough blue dogs do the right things
My client today is a guitar teacher so he’s already doing the music to it. He liked it. And yeah, I left the GOP several years back when Bush signed the stupid bankruptcy reform bill. Even Ayn Rand was against it!
parsy, who about has verse four down and is working on the chorus.
