Just heard the news over my local radio station...

Just want to confirm the fact that for the first time on my local radio station news, 640...something, Cedartown, Georgia, I heard a news report about Major Cook's refusal to be deployed to Afghanistan. The repeater went on to give a fairly good short synopsis of what the case was about and that a hearing is scheduled for July 16, 2009.

Okay. But this was the first time I heard it on my local news radio station. It is usually pretty bland and liberal. To hear something like this come over my local the radio station, to me it means the MSM is beginning to pick up on the story.

I you heard "Major Cook's refusal to be deployed to Afghanistan" than you heard incorrectly, or what was reported was incorrect.
He did not refuse deployment, he inquired about the legitimacy of the order to be deployed.

It seems that quite a few outlets are, either intentionally or not, misstating the issue so this very well could have been what you heard.

That’s good. But I cannot begin to tell you if this story has made it all the way down to a small, remote radio station up in northwestern Georgia town, every news agency is now fully aware of this story.
If this motion isn’t completely thrown out at tomorrow’s hearing, I think it can no longer be ignored by the MSM. I would even go so far as to say, the reason why this story was reported on today was to lay the groundwork to report on it big-time tomorrow.

The public needs to know that Maj Cook was summarily fired from his civilian defense contracting (private company) job at the direction of federal agents.
Unless this federal coverup and retaliation against those who question it is stopped, he’ll be lucky to find a job snaking drains with Joe the Pluimber.

Yes, that's the one. But I have always been amazed at how Rush can be pounding away at one thing and then the MSM local news comes on and has stories or commentaries on the very same issue except in the opposite direction.
But today was different. Today, we heard the report of Major Stephen Cook's lawsuit. It was so out of the ordinary, it just seemed like some sort of invisible altered wave of reality passed over the region and nothing was the same afterwards. It was a quite shift, but it ran deep. Something is different in the land now. I believe it is my own realization that we are now living through actual history in the making and that we had better stick our heads up from our everyday existence long enough to see it and perhaps bear witness to it for history's sake if not for our own.
And then I read this, this evening: Audio: Liberal talk show host Lynn Samuels on Obama-Birth Certificate: “He’s lying!”
