Siv Jensen: Another "Iron Lady of the North"

I was just reading RAM's recent post about Gov. Palin inspiring female leaders in the African nation of Malawi, and it actually reminded me of something I read a while ago that I wanted to share. You see, there is actually a bit of a theme developing here, as Gov. Palin is becoming a role model for a new generation of female leaders - even in the unlikeliest of places. And if there is one place more unlikely than Malawi for a Palinite leader to spring up, it's probably the place I'm about to describe to you.

The person you're about to meet openly flaunts her appreciation for Gov. Palin, preaches small-government conservatism, and makes a big deal out of her support for the State of Israel. That's somewhat standard for many people here in the States, but it's much more surprising when you consider that Siv Jensen is from a much different part of the world where those views cause serious trouble. Yet, Ms. Jensen could very well be Prime Minister of Norway before the end of this year.

Sarah is going to change American politics and eventually, she may even change International politics.

I remember when she visited Auburn, NY, and 20,000 people showed up to see her, I read all the newspapers from the area about her visit. (through the web) One interview struck me. The reporter was interviewing randomly on the street, during the parade, that Sarah walked in front of. The reporter found an Obama voter. She asked the guy what he was doing there. He said, “I voted for Obama. However, she is going to make history, and because of that, I wanted to see her.”
