I still believe the technology is out there to build an engine not using gas/oil. For cryin’ out loud, for over 100 years, as one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world, we’ve been producing machinery/engines dependent upon a commodity that comes from countries ruled by despots who don’t like us. In fact these islamic countries would gleefully cheer our demise, but need us to buy their one main commodity to keep them in a quality of life they’ve grown accustomed to.

We buy it from other nations because the Looters in DC and the envirnomental Nazis won’t let us harvest our own abundant energy resources.

Your comments about sending money to countries that would cheer our demise is just as true of China. You know, that country that now manufactures a lot of the commodities that we require for comfort and stuff like that.

The reason we are dependant on these countries lies in Washington. When they started talking about energy “independance” in the 70’s we have become more dependant on foreigners every year.

In the sixties every vehicle on our farm ran on butane; pickup, tractors, everything. We didn’t use natural gas because we didn’t have any out there in the country, but I am sure the technology is almost identical for butane and natural gas.
