It's clear she's sympathetic with these protesters who have no moral right to be protesting something put into place because of murderers, yet they don't want to protest the murderers (because they'd get hit with more than teargas)

The protesters had no rocks or stones, but they were trying to breach the barrier. At that point, it seems, the teargas came flying.
