Give the Guy a Chance???

I have heard liberals whine several times about "give Obama a chance". Every time they say it, I feel like slapping them silly (Of course, slapping liberals silly doesn't usually accomplish much).

But my response is always, "we've already given him many chances and he's blown every single one." Cap and Trade. Universal Health Care. Weak foreign policy. Lies about just about everything under the sun. His policies are ruining the country and we're supposed to give him a chance when liberals wouldn't give Bush a chance.

No. He's already squandered all of his chances. Give him any more and he'll only waste them on destroying America even more.

Slapping a liberal silly would be kind of like slapping Bob Hope funny.

Frankly, my idea of “giving Obama a chance” at this point would be throwing him in the middle of the ocean in the midst of a feeding frenzy of Great White Sharks and yelling, “Swim, Barry! Swim!”

I detest and reject this “give him a chance” argument and I hear it all the time.

This would be like hearing someone break into your house and “giving him a chance” to prove he has no evil intentions. Maybe you sit in a hidden location and watch your goods being scooped up, and “give him a chance” to prove he’s not out to kill you. (I know FReepers would suggest neither of these alternatives!)

I DON’T want to give him a chance to wreck this country. I see no reason to do anything so foolish. Do the Dems in Congress give the Reps any chance to supply counter-arguments to their legislation?

The Constitution is supremely precious and as we are seeing, a LOT more fragile than 99% of us could have EVER imagined. We KNEW when this skunk was running what his tendencies were and we KNEW that a Dem majority in Congress would be troublesome should it occur, but I imagine thaat VERY FEW, even among the Constitutionally astute on this forum and elsewhere EVER IMAGINED the vicious assault on the Constitution that we are seeing. Levin sounds stunned to me, most days. Now he’s getting pretty angry. I think even he would admit being surprised at the depth of the assault on the Constitution we are seeing. AND IT’S EARLY IN THE GAME.

Think of it like an advanced fighter plane, or a Ferrari. Would you “give a chance” to a total beginner Cessna pilot or a go-kart driver? I think not. There’s too much at stake and the damage could well be permanent.

How many chances does this guy want to get it right?

Reminds me of a line in one of the NAKED GUN movies with Leslie Nielsen where he says something like “and not like one of those Steve Howe kind of chances either,” or something like that.

Surely, someone must remember it.
