Stuart Varney Says Dem Use of Stimulus Money "Immoral" in Showdown with Chaka Fattah - Video 7/9/09

Here is video of Fox News' Stuart Varney having a heated debate with liberal Democrat Congressman Chaka Fattah of Pennsylvania today on the Neil Cavuto Show. Varney confronted Fattah over the Obama Administration's use of Stimulus and Bailout funds to essentially buy votes in congressional districts. Fattah repeatedly attacked Fox News in the interview, saying "I know you all at Fox are used to talking to each other" without an opposing viewpoint. Varney would not let him get by however with the notion the stimulus money was being well-used. Varney called "immoral" the Democrats use of the funds to make a whole class of people "wards of the state," entirely dependent on the Federal Government.

Varney has hit on exactly what the Democrats and Obama are trying to do. They want to create enough people who are totally dependent on the Federal Government so that those folks will always vote Democrat and keep them in power.

Kudos Stuart Varney is one of the best at holding the Democrats' feet to the fire and telling the truth plainly. . . . . . (Watch Video)

Chaka Fattah? I liked some of her music back in the 70's. A really great song was "Through The Fire" written by David Foster.

What? Oh...never mind.

He, like Mark Steyn, is a naturalized American. Neither suffers fools lightly. I wish we had more like them. If only we could exchange a hundred morons like Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore for each one like Varney or Steyn.

I saw it—Varney was great, and as usual the liberal was just spouting the usual dem talking points. They are such morons.

And the reason is that as an ex-Brit he has seen it in full fledged action in the UK. The British Labour Party is very left of center.

One of the cleverest things Maggie Thatcher did was to take council housing (essentially, The Projects) and sell them at hugely discounted prices to the tenants. Discounts were based on length of occupancy.

Two benefits: firstly, the cities were rid of all the costs of capital and maintenance which always seemed to exceed rental income, Secondly, the tenants, previously in thrall to the cities suddenly became capitalists.

Chaka Fattah (who knows what his birth name was) hasn’t been seen much since he was always on TV, defending The First Black President, back in the late 90s.

In Roger and Me, I think he claimed to be a native of Flint, Michigan.
