Well, you're right again. Looking at it from that perspective, Chambliss has been a very reliable democrat.

I'm not sure who the dims will run against Isakson, but Roy Barnes could be trying to position himself for that, or another run at Governor. Many years ago, before he was governor, I was on a jury where Barnes was one of the attorneys. While listening to him, I thought to myself "if there's a stupider human being on earth, I don't want to meet him".

After thinking about it, I think Barnes has a better chance at governor than he does at Senate, even though the Senate IS becoming a collection of buffoons.
