will be interesting how they’ll spin their next attempt at the Amnesty Bill when that happens.

When Bush tried, it was at about 4% and he could keep saying “jobs Americans won’t do”

Obama is doing everything in his power to wipe out the oil & gas industry along with the insurance industry, so yep, rising unemployment should be expected for many years to come.

It’s already at 16% if you also count the unemployed who have run out of unemployment benefits. . .

Optimist.

Personally, I'm expecting 2,301,295,537.29% unemployment.

This will be manifested in this way: If you or your ancestors have ever worked a job in the history of mankind, you will need to return that pay.

With interest.

Zer0 is drying up every source of capital he can get his hands on. How much better to kill the victim than to deny it water?

We are watching the killing of Capitalism before our very eyes and we are standing by like they did when they marched off the Jews.

David Tice made a lot of money for me in 2000-2002 and 2008. In fact, it’s the only money I have.

The count of the unemployment rate is completely separate from the count of people getting unemployment checks.

Someone check my math, please.

If the U1 is currently 9.5%
and the U6 is 16%

What will the U6 be
when the U1 reaches 15%?

If the U1 reaches 15%
our economy and OUR WAY OF LIFE are pretty much cooked for a generation. It will be during that period that the global statists completely take over.

I agree. The more chaos and higher unemployment, the more people will be dependent upon the government just to survive. This is the dream of the psychotic left. The moderate Democrats who voted for this catastrophe will rue the day.

That’s a hoot.. looks like it’s already here by the U-6 calculation, which brings to ponder... is 20% in our future ??

U-6 Total unemployed, plus all marginally attached
workers, plus total employed part time for
economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian
labor force plus all marginally attached workers. 16.5 %

Link to Table-A here:

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t12.htm

I think the U-6 table was used for reports in a past-life /sarc

Have you seen the actual bill?

They (Democrats) will pay anyone who lost their job due to the cap-n-trade a weekly salary for 156 weeks (3 years!)

I kid you not!

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-2454

(5) WEEKLY AMOUNTS- The climate change adjustment
allowance payable to an adversely affected worker for a
week of unemployment shall be an amount equal to 70
percent of the average weekly wage of such worker, but in
no case shall such amount exceed the average weekly wage
for all workers in the State where the adversely affected
worker resides.

(6) MAXIMUM DURATION OF BENEFITS- An eligible worker may
receive a climate change adjustment allowance under this
subsection for a period of not longer than 156 weeks.

Then there is as huge section on re-training workers! Aaaaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!
