The more I think about this, the more it all seems to make sense. I believe Sarah knows the decision to resign may require her to shelve any presidential ambitions for at least until 2012, but for a greater, more immediate good.
What I think is at work here is a grander, more strategic plan — one that lays aside her own ambitions in order to support and fundraise for conservative candidates, starting with the two gubernatorial elections this year. She realizes, as most here on FR do, that our very existence as a nation hangs in the balance, as we’re currently under the most radically left-wing administration ever. She will be a great asset on the campaign circuit, turning out the crowds and bringing badly needed dollars into the campaign war chests of Gubernatorial, Congressional and Senatorial candidates we need to emerge victorious in order to put the brakes on the 0bama agenda. As for Alaska, I am quite sure she wouldn’t be stepping aside if she had any misgivings about whether the state was in good hands with Sean Parnell. All indications are Parnell will be a fine Governor and it’ll be a seamless transition, so accusations of “abandoning” Alaska ring hollow.
I was feeling pretty much in the dumps over the past few days ever since Sarah announced her resignation. It’s becoming more evident she sees the urgency of jumping in now to help the conservative cause, and with mid-terms only 15 montns.
We’ve needed a leader of the conservative movement and how we have her in a big way; the fact Sarah Palin is willing to sacrifice her personal political future for the cause of promoting conservatism in this critical time makes me appreciate her even more. God bless her.
“Its becoming more evident she sees the urgency of jumping in now to help the conservative cause, and with mid-terms only 15 montns.”
let me try that sentence again:
“But its becoming more evident she sees the urgency of jumping in now to help the conservative cause, and with mid-terms only 15 months out, the need is for action now is too great not to make a move.”
That would be great. She could challenge him daily to get his records out in the open, in fact, she could start hammering on him about this right now as no other republican has the guts to do it.
~~PING!
I agree with both takes of this post.
What we ignore much of the time is that now Zero has the entire US treasury basically at his disposal. He has been buying votes(with our money) like a rabid dog and there is no sign he will ever let up.
Countering that alone is a massive job.
Sarahg got nothing to worry about from the Rats - is the elitist snob Republicans she better be on the look-out for.
Worth repeating!!!! again and again...
Do you really think she should skip the 2010 Presidential election?
It will be fun to watch Sarah take care of business! Those who chose to make untrue statements about Sarah will meet their dues in court if need be. I believe there are some who will be looking at a court date sooner than they think!
Sarah has taken control and she will move forward with strength and confidence! GO SARAJ!
There is a 2010 presidential election in your country?
“There is a 2010 presidential election in your country?”
LOL. Typo. Should read 2016, vice 2012. It’s been a long day.
LOL ... I never get to do that. But it is done to me a lot since I make all sorts of typos with my old large fingers.
It must be said that she has gotten an amazing amount of press. Friday afternoon is supposed to be a dead news time. Clinton used to use that time slot to release embarrassing stuff he wanted buried.
And before a holiday weekend, to boot. And with Michael Jackson dominating the news—up to the very last minute before her speech.
In fact Drudge, who has been very fair to her, vacillated between Sarah and Michael, as to which would be better to headline in order to draw more viewers. He naturally wants to keep increasing his hits. Sarah won that one, too.
But the SOB that Matalin is married to leaves a lot to be desired.
Old news ... ;)
Mary’s reading the teaparty leaves ... LOL
