No matter what Sarah Palin does, the media will attack her and spin any information beyond recognition. During the election, she only had 63 days to fight these smears while campaigning. This proved to be not enough time as the media attack dogs capitalize on the Alinsky strategy of manipulating church and the poor. To the elite (which includes the media), we are ALL poor, and this means even the middle class.
Sarah Palins decision to step down is now proving to be a stroke of genius as she has learned from other Republicans in Congress such as DeMint, Culberson, Bachmann, Boehner, Coburn, and Caffetz to use the tools of the internet to get the TRUTH out. This makes the television set obsolete for good information.
Case in point. Palin made her announcement two days ago. The media attack dogs spun the truth around worse than the swirl that you see when you flush a toilet. The sounds of their griping is even worse! Palin then released a statement from her lawyers expressing the facts about this. The media has now has to fight that letter and defend themselves on their spin after getting bypassed. The more this is done, the more people will learn not to trust the media. She now has three years to do it over and over again.
Palins popularity is a flame that has stayed kindled as demonstrated when she went to a small town in New York a month or so ago and drew 20,000 people to come out and see her. This popularity will grow as the general public turns on Obama and his Putin-esque media just to come out to see her.
With that said, my suggestion is to follow her and others in our Republican leadership, but you have to choose the right ones. In the past few months, Ive become gunshy about a talking about topics until Senator Jim DeMint (R SC) talks about it first. DeMint usually gives me a good direction as to where to approach a topic from and where to attack. These topics take up a lot of time in doing a lot of research. This is usually enough of a workload for me as it is hard for me to keep up. However, with Alaska Governor Sarah Palins announcement that shes stepping down, requests have come in wanting me to talk about this topic before DeMint does, so thats my insight.
Take your winning message straight to the people!
Sarah Palin would do more for the nation, in my opinion by taking over the RNC and kick Steele to the curb. She could get much more done for this nation as opposed to running for office - that could come later...
This would:
* Bring conservative principles back to the RNC (small government, get government out of our lives, lower taxes, 2nd amendment support, state's rights, small business support, lower taxes, strong defense, no-nonsense foreign policies). Conservatism works every time it is tried.
* She could be a credible spokesperson for energy, drilling, etc in light of sane environmental initiatives.
* She could, on a daily basis, take the wind out of Barry's sails on a host of his anti-American issues (bank take-overs, nationalization of large sectors of the economy, socialism, class warfare, generational theft, bigger government, job killing). Her media appeal would take away from the daily barrage of "new plans" put out ad nauseum by Barry, Rahm, Steffy, and 'Astro-Turf' Axelrod. She would be a countervailing force to the crap we get from the White Crib on a nearly hourly basis. If Republicans embraced the Twitter, Facebook, MySpace internet viral communications, it would be a direct hit against Barry's minions.
* She could - and this is the biggest reason she should take over the RNC - help with a 1994-esque take-over of both houses and start blocking the hopey-dopey-changey-strangey crap we have seen for the last 6 months.
My only hope is that she doesn’t feel the need to respond to every single, petty thought they throw out there.
Take over the GOP or Start a new Conservative Party (or take over an existing 3rd Party). You need to start a revival to re-inspire America to Greatness—by pass the old Media and the old dynamics of the past.
Agree:Sarah Palins decision to step down is now proving to be a stroke of genius,Note the fear the left is in.
I think there is a path in between these two extremes (take over Republican party or use 3rd party). Namely she could lead the movement to reform both major parties by supporting small government factions on both sides in the 2010 elections. Tea parties are not only for Republicans -- they are manifestation of the universal American spirit of liberty and independence, the stuff that hatched this nation. That way those on the left on other issues could also contribute to that force (which Ron Paul phenomenon revealed and tapped into, albeit in a clumsy way, with inept campaign and much too old main candidate).
