Among the questions asked by the Goldwater survey were such puzzlers as What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress? and Who was the first president of the United States?
The full report will be released shortly, but here are ten of the questions asked, along with the percentage of students who answered them correctly. To pass, the students had only to correctly answer six of the ten questions, pulled at random from a pool of questions from the U.S. citizenship exam. Only 3.5% of the students, all from government schools, passed the test. Thats about 40 out of a total of 1,134. Please save your disgust until you read all ten.
1. What is the supreme law of the land? Answer: The Constitution (29.5% answered correctly) 2. What do we call the first 10 amendments to the Constitution? Answer: The Bill of Rights (25%) 3. petitfour is correct, however I agree with the point that the “Democratic” party isnt’ very democratic, or republican or even rule of law..
Narcisists, Check!
I cut-and-pasted those questions directly from the Goldwater site, so I take no responsibility for the Democrat/Democratic error. :D I will fix it on my site.
Um, Billy Ocean?
The left cannot AFFORD well educated people. Too few would wind up on welfare, as guaranteed democrat voters.
Yep , it’s the Marsist long term plan in action. Some of us saw this coming 15 years ago. Now we see the results , Obama robots and Global Warming zombies all following the leader.
The other 75% get an anvil with an Obama bumper sticker on it (and they'd reach for it, and not let go, and wonder why they kept sinking further and further and further...)
Marsist = Marxist
Sorry can find my glasses.
Who was the first President of the United States? Answer: Washington (26.5%)
That one is hard to believe. Most total morons know that one at least.
Then it was "Progressive Democrat" party that a bunch went to, and the website displayed those legislator's names. Now, not so much. But Medea Benjamin is still on their board! (Besides, "progressive" just sounds so happening now!) But maybe it isn't PC for them any more.
No matter what they call themselves, as far as I'm concerned they're still not democratic and continue to be liberal jackasses.
Civics? Hell, the morons and mutants I see with baseball caps off the side of their misshapen heads, and weird short pants down around their knees so they can show me their underwear,........they can’t even count their toes!
I thought it was as you said until hubby corrected me a month or so ago.
I wouldn’t even dream of going into their dismal math and science proficiency... even more depressing. But they can memorize the text code for their choice on American Idol.
Liberal girls don’t like to teach civics. They’d rather diddle with teenage boys.
...and with girls.
