Eleven score, ten and three years later are we now in a Global Civil War?

The consent of the governed. It is that ideal which is fragile and rare in History. Known as "Liberty" it is that consent of the governed that is at risk in this war.

For one group of people the prize is the wealth and power gained by establishing a global tyranny of the Elite.

For the other, for all of us, if you are with me, and with the Founders of the United States of America, the prize is simple. Freedom to do that which G-d would have us do, as individuals establishing a government to better pursue that G-dly Happiness. Liberty!

As in:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it"

Today Congress and Obama dictate beyond any authority that the people have granted them.

Today, they are at war with "We, the People".

America is in the midst of a Civil War. Yet, not just America. This is a global civil war. All over the world today two philosophies compete.

One says "The Eilte will feed the masses, care for you when sick, and will deign to allow you some small liberties so that you may be happy at times. You need us to be your rulers and you must abide and obey what regulations and laws we chose to impose upon you. These rules apply to you. We, the Elite, may chose to abide or ignore them, on an ad hoc basis."

Yes, I repeated that wise paragraph. It was written in 1776, exactly 233 years ago tomorrow.

Which side are you on?

I’m on the side of those men who fought at Bunker Hill with William Prescott and crossed the Delaware with Washington. I do believe there will be a civil war if things continue as they are especially if the sovereign citizen continues to find himself and herself so thoroughly detached from a leadership that appears to just ignore the citizenry entirely except only when they can manipulate them with entertainment and make them weaker by enabling them to cowardly, craven, immoral, and lazy behaving like children with an infantile want=needs entitlement complex.

There’s a great deal more going on beneath the surface with the American people than the preoccupation with Michael Jackson’s death would suggest. Washington doesn’t get it, and neither does the MSM. They’re like Louis XV and Marie Antoinette. Tick, tick, tick...

Men and women need to stand up as free men and women, as adults retaking the responsible role in our culture.

Patrick Henry was wrong to say “Give me Liberty, or give me Death,” the correct motto is “Liberty or Death!” Meaning we have a duty to fight for our Liberty, and not wait for it to be given.

I wondered which term to use it was as I typed: Revolution or Civil War. I decided on Civil War as (1) the 1776 Revolution was unique in all History and (2) we are NOT rebelling against the Constitution, we are FOR it, and against those who have -— like Bernie Madoff did with his investors — make wholly fraudulent promises, and take what is not theirs without any responsibility.

Many people forget, too, that the Revolutionary War was also a Civil War - loyalist and patriot militias often clashed directly, with little or no involvement by British or Continental regulars. Often the British sought to bring that part of the conflict under their military control; a good example of this is seen in the southern campaign, at the battle of King's Mountain.

So, the endless back-and-forth over which type of war it will be... revolutionary or civil... is pointless. It will be both, just like it was 233+ years ago.

We aren’t be ruled by the constitution are we? If we were to have a revolution it would be against those that have usurped power far beyond what was enumerated to them from the people.

Yes, it is a war against the usurpers. And they are not just in DC, but everywhere. The everywhere-ness of this revolution against the usurpers makes it also more like a civil war. Brothers against brothers, children versus parents, husband versus wife.

It is both. But in present time, the only Regular Armies are established on the usurper side — the state and federal bureaucracies, the unions, the universities, the NEA, the NGOs, Acorn, Vista, and as also many or most major corporations, such as GM, GE, Google, on and on ...

Before you can have a global civil war, you must have a global government. Otherwise, it's either a civil war in a country or a world war between a bunch of countries.

Not so. The Global Civil War, as I said, is not so much between citizens of a country and a government-in-power in that country as it is by people all over the world dedicated to a governmental philosophy of the ideals of individual LIBERTY opposed to a governmental philosophy that has the ideal of a TYRANNY of the elite.
