California is the trend setter. Don’t feel alone, we’ll all be there soon.

Bankruptcy might be the best thing to happen to California since the gold rush. They have a lot of long term problems that are going to be painful to fix and the politicians don't want to make the painful decisions that would doom their political aspirations.

They need more energy and are going to have to build power plants. They need more water and the surrounding states are tired of selling it to them. They've dug themselves a hole by giving illegal aliens public assistance and in-state tuition. They've made bad contracts with unions for public services that have created unsustainable spending. They're taxing business and middle class taxpayers into moving out of the state. They have one of the highest welfare rates in the US and homeless people are moving there to take advantage of the weather and social programs.

Too many illegals, too much union power, too much liberalism (taxation, regulation, welfare cases, etc etc).

Cities want to go bankrupt to renegotiate union contracts but the libs are trying to stop them.

If we go Bankrupt it would give cover the politicians and then they could renogotiate all those items that cost to much or we don’t need.
